Who this notice covers
This notice covers personal information collected through jenkar.com, including the quote form, website analytics, cookie preferences and the optional website voice assistant. Jenkar Shipping Ltd is the controller for the information it collects through these services.
Information we collect
- Quote and contact details: your name, company, email address, phone number, requested service, route and the shipment information you choose to provide.
- Technical and usage information: device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed, referral source and interaction data where analytics consent allows it.
- Consent information: the cookie choices recorded by the consent tool.
- Voice assistant information: audio, transcripts and related interaction data when you choose to start a conversation with the website assistant.
- Security information: IP address and request information used temporarily to prevent spam, abuse and excessive form submissions.
The quote form requires a name, email address and shipment message so that the team can understand and answer the enquiry. If you do not provide those fields, the website cannot submit the request.

Who processes information for us
We use trusted service providers to run this website. Depending on the feature you use, this may include Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for website and content infrastructure, Resend for delivering quote enquiries by email, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for consent-controlled measurement, CookieYes for cookie choices, and ElevenLabs for the optional website voice assistant.
We may also share information with freight carriers, customs agents, warehouses, professional advisers, insurers, authorities or other suppliers where this is necessary to answer an enquiry, deliver a requested service, meet a legal obligation or protect legal rights.
International processing
Some technology or freight partners may process information outside the UK. Where data-protection law requires it, we rely on an adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described above. The period depends on whether an enquiry becomes a customer relationship, whether records are needed for freight, tax, accounting, insurance or legal reasons, and whether an issue or claim remains open. Cookie consent and analytics information follow the retention settings of the relevant service. We review information and remove or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.
Cookies and analytics
Necessary technologies support security and core website operation. Analytics and other non-essential technologies are controlled through the CookieYes banner and are denied by default until the relevant consent choice is recorded. You can change or withdraw that choice through the cookie settings control. Browser settings can also delete or block cookies, although some site features may then work differently.
The website voice assistant
The assistant is optional and loads after you interact with the site. If you start a conversation, ElevenLabs processes the conversation to provide the response. Do not include special-category information, payment card details, passwords or other information that is not needed for a freight enquiry. The assistant helps with general questions and is not used to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a copy of your information, and to object to particular uses. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To ask a question or exercise a right, email info@jenkar.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Questions and complaints
Please contact Jenkar first if you have a concern so the team can investigate it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator, through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
